LIFE AS I KNOW IT

1.15.2012

A little more about me.

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend! The weather is finally cooling down here in LA. Lately, we've been getting weather in the 80s! Did mother nature forget that we're in the midst of January? I think it might rain tomorrow and Monday, though. YES. CHANGE.

I'm working on conjuring up posts through my various outlets of inspiration. Are any of you part of Pinterest? If you're familiar with Tumblr, it's a little like that. Both have similar content, but Pinterest only has photos (and is geared more towards the older men and women). If you do have one, my name is "yama yama" there. Let's be Pinterest friends! Aside from my Hello Kitty notebook, it's become my newest way of gathering all my interests in one place.

Mine is a bit bare, but I'm sure I'll be filling it up in no time.

For today, I will be sharing you so "interesting" facts about myself. In real life, I'm not as comfortable talking about myself (hence the blogging), but since they're coming from two of my bloggie friends...here I am to reveal a little part of me.

I've received this award from one of my favorite make-up bloggers and fellow LA dreamer, Becky from Everyday Makeup Blog. If you haven't already done so, check out her blog for inspiring make-up looks and her adventures in food plus more. Thank you, Becky!

Rules:

  • Must thank the person who send it to you
  • Must give this award to other bloggers
  • Share 7 facts about yourself

7 random facts:
1. I love the (e)motion that "writing" gives, rather than the action of "typing." I would much rather write a letter to a dear friend than to type one out. It's just more personal and meaningful.
2. I get nervous when driving. Many have told me in the past that I'm such a safe driver. Little do they know that I'm holding my breath, giving 90% of my focus to what's on the road.
3. I may be taking a trip to New York (which will be my second time) this coming year with my family. Quite excited about this one! Nothing's set in stone, but it's certainly in "talks".
4. I'm no dancer, nor am I a singer, but I love to sing! Noraebang/karaoke is one of my favorite pastimes.
5. Though I live in the Los Angeles, I still have yet to explore this city to really call it home. I'm so used to venturing out into the areas where I'm much more familiar with.
6. I used to use Photoshop so much back in the day with making "graphics" for my likes and the likes of others. Hopefully I can do a post on the past "graphics" I've made in the past. I kinda miss it now...
7. The Lunar Year is coming up (Jan. 23), and it's the year of the dragon. I'm a dragon...and it's definitely going to my year. I know all of my fellow dragon babies will agree.

Passing this on to: Jian // Vicky // D

3. What is one beauty staple you couldn't do without? Eyeliner! I've been wearing it since I was 14.

9. Where is your favourite place in the world? As much as I love all the places I've traveled to (especially 日本), LA wins in the end. Come visit me, guys!
10. Do you prefer savoury or sweet foods more? Savoury! I can only take so much sweets..
11. What is your occupation? Unemployed. jk. I have two jobs but, I'm still on the search for something I really want to do.

Japanese snacks are the best!! My favorite is Daifuku, with red bean paste on the inside! AQctaully, anything with red beans is my guilty pleasure~ ^_^

  2. So since it's going to be Dragon year that means you're going to be 24?? You definitely don't look it at all! I thought you were much younger haha  Anyhoo, always cool to learn more about a blogger so thanks for answering the questions!

  3. I love getting to know more about people like this! I love the sound of music too! xoxo

  4. Great getting to know you better! I'm same as you--blogging or "talking" to people online is so much easier than in real life.

  5. Aw, thanks. :]
Ooooh~ yummy. I love red bean. hehe. I used to not eat it at all when I was a kid. Definitely an acquired taste~

  6. For some reason, I can't open the page for pininterest :((( i wanted to see how it was, too!

congrats on getting that award! i hadn't realized that you blogged so much! :O

  7. Aww thanks for sharing more some stuff about yourself! :3 And thank you for the award too! ^^

I can't dance to save my life either, but I LOOOVE singing, even though I'm not very good at it. I only sing if I think people aren't listening though, although my housemate and bf have probably heard quite a bit of it. I wander around the house with headphones on, singing incoherent korean most of the time. LOL

And yeahhh eyeliner club ftw! When I first started wearing eyeiner when I was about 15 I kept experiementing with it, and got it wrong so much of the time lol. For the first few weeks that I started wearing it I was applying it on my lower waterline. I know for a fact now that my eyes look teensy if I do that. =_=; At least I worked it out pretty quickly!

I will answer your quesitons here if you don't mind:

    My set of questions:

    1. When did you first start blogging? I had to check my old blog archive, but it looks like it was 2008.

    2. What's your favorite type of outfit to wear on a daily basis? Pyjamas and a thick, knit cardigan.

    3. Introvert or extrovert? Extrovert. Probably. Not really sure...

    4. Where was your last vacation? Paris in the summer! Gosh, depressing...so long ago T.T

    5. A favorite quote? I don't actually have one. :S

    6. Favorite make-up item at the moment? Foundation. I look so much better with than without.

    7. If you could visit any where in the world right now, where would you go? Tokyo!

    8. A favorite dish you like to cook? This is a toughie since I like to cook a hell of a lot of things. Ok I'll tell you right now I'm craving seafood linguine, so that's what I'm going to make today for dinner.

    9. Eat in or eat out? Eat in. I am so typically Type O it's not funny. Everytime I go to a restaurant I think "My food tastes better than this", and I don't like ordering things that I can make easily at home either.

    10. Flats or heels? Flats are more comfy, but I love that heels make my legs look longer and slimmer!

    11. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? As some kind of trainee doctor. Blegh....
