Woo. Finally back with another post. Been kind of failing at keeping up with my blogroll but, hopefully I'll be caught up soon. It was raining a bit here earlier this week, but it seems like the weather will be heating up by this weekend again. Aigoo...it's October (and almost November!!)
I got a new phone! Switched over to T-Mobile (still hoping to switch over my old number...) but I'm liking it. At first I was a bit intimidated by it's size, but I'm really enjoying it and becoming very familiar with everything. My first smartphone! Yeah, no iPhone for me. Maybe in the next 2 years. haha.
Today, I wanted to share with you guys two PINK me ups. :] (All pics taken with my new phone ^^)
Skin Food Milk Creamy Nail in PK001 & Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch
One is the Skin Food polish that I had picked up on my first discovery of the location. I love the color as it can easily be worn all year as a muted pink for the fall winter and a salmon pink in the spring and summer.
I really like the formula of this one. It's thick enough to apply two coats for a nice, opaque finish. There's also tiny flicks of shimmer, which I also love! Subtle addition to the shininess. It's a little more expensive than what I'd usually spend on a polish ($5), but I figured I'd try it. Now I want more!
Next is the Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm! I've been reading and watching youtube vids of these last month. I think I first saw them in Holly Ann Rae's favorites vid(?) and she said she really liked "Pink Punch" out of all of them so...I figured I'd go try it out for myself too! My friend JK sent me a Nivea lipbalm that has a red tint, so I figured a pink one would be fun to try!
It's a nice size with a twisty bottom. Bigger than typical lip balms. It also has an SPF of 20! Nice bonus! The formula is nice as well. Not waxy at all. AND it smells sweet too, which I like...though for some, it may be a turn off.
Very pigmented for a lip balm, I say!
Swatched. Pink and shiny! :]
I bought this at CVS but I've also seen it at Rite Aid. (I assume it would be at Walgreens, too). These retail for around a $3.50-$4.00 depending on where you go. I actually picked up an extra "Pink Punch" for an upcoming giveaway that I'm slowly working on, so stay tuned for that!
And one last mention....SEPHORA'S F&F SALE! Want to read about my major fail? lol. On the first day of the sale, the site was super laggy for me and probably every other person accessing it. By the time I got the site to load smoothly, a lot of my wants were out of stock. =[ So, I was about to order the MUFE Mat Velvet foundation, Powder WoWza from Benefit, and the Sephora airbrush foundation brush...but I waited. Next morning, the NARS Danmari All About Cheeks Palette was back in stock! So, being super excited, I quickly ordered it...only to realize that I didn't apply my 20% code! FAIL!!! I was so sad...and am still sad. lol. But it's ok. I still have some time to order some more stuff if I decide to...but dang it!
Have any of you guys caved into this 20% discount?
That's all for now. Oh! And one more thing. Happy Birthday to two of my blogger chingoos!! Kat and Vicky!! Wishing them both a wonderful birthday. ♡
Here's some kpop boys for you all. Been stuck on this song for a while. Groovin...chyeahh~ keke.

ReplyDeleteWOOT WOOT! you jumped on the baby lips train :D it looks fab on you! i love that it's not waxy either, that drives me crazy. it took me forever to find them hahaha and OMG this was the FF fail story u were talking about? hahaha well you can always just return the 1 you bought for full price and just order again. no big deal. this just gives you another chance to add some extra goodies to your purchase XD omg i STILL haven't made a purchase yet. i just sit there & stare at my cart today wondering if i should pull the trigger >.< before i know it, FF will be over & i'll have not bought a single thing!
ReplyDeleteYay for a new phone and two pink me up products!:D I like the nail polish shade, it's a sophisticated pink and that sure is a pigmented lip balm.:D
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog tonight. The moisturizers are effective and I know, how fascinating that Boris makes all those by hand - all by himself!
Enjoy the rest of the week!

ReplyDeleteAwww thank you Tiffany!! <3
ReplyDeleteYayy i'm on T-Mobile too haha.
I love your pink me ups ^^ You guys are so lucky with your F&F sales, what are you thinking of ordering? LOL I hate when that happens, you get so excited and rushing to pay for it that you haven't applied the code or chose the right option. I usually cancel and re-order, one time I must have done it about 3 times before I got it right hahaha
Ohh, I didn't know Skin Food made nail polish. Thanks for sharing!!

ReplyDeleteI was so afraid I was going to forget to apply the code myself, that I forgot to go through ebates! I have an account and I would have gotten about $15 back... so you're not alone :D That skinfood nail polish is so pretty <3
ReplyDeleteOoh that lipbalm is quite bubblegum pink! Does it have any shimmer to it? I'm hoping it's more matte, so that it doesn't look too too kiddyish.
ReplyDeleteEUNHAE IS LOVEEE!
ReplyDeletebtw i still can't find the maybelline lip balms here :(
Awww, *high5*! I remember to use ebates, just not the code. lol. We both semi-failed, together. It's all good! Thank you. :]
ReplyDeleteNope! No shimmer, but yes~ quite pink. It is quite matte as well. I just have to be careful when applying so that I don't get it all of my face. lol.
ReplyDeleteEUNHAE IS LOVE! <3333 :D
ReplyDeleteReally??? =[ BOO!
