Review: Revlon Scented Nail Polish in 'Gum Drop' 325

Another review! Yay. :]

Got this polish yesterday from my mini CVS haul. ^^

According to the Revlon Website:
Revlon® Scented Nail Enamel: Revlon® Nail Enamel gives up to 10 days of lasting color & shine*. Revlon’s exclusive silk-protein shield works to instantly help even out the surface of the nail while rising above color to automatically smooth away bubbles, streaks and brush marks. UV absorbers protect color – ensuring it won’t fade during wear.

Suggested Retail Price: $4.79 (on sale at CVS this week for $3.99) -- 7.5/10

Packaging: 6/10
Simple bottle, but the brush isn't very sturdy...making it hard to apply even amounts on polish.

Wear: 7/10
Though I still see patches from uneven spread of color, the wear has been pretty good so far. I did put a base coat of ORLY's TOP2BOTTOM and finished off my dried nails with OPI's RapiDry Top Coat (which was included in the mini "lil shooters" set I got last month -- hopefully I'll do a review on all these eventually too ^^) A top coat isn't necessarily needed, given that the polish is pretty glossy..but for me, I like my nails to be extra glossy. hehe

The website says 10 days, of wear so...I'm on day 1! and everything looks great!

But the best part of this polish is the color! It's such a bright, pastel purple. I instantly fell in love with it once applied. It reminds me of the purple used in cute Japanese stationary...I get a very KAWAII purple-y feel. ^_^V

BONUS POINTS: Since this polish is titled 'Gum Drop', it does give off a very sweet smell! It's actually entertaining.

In the end:
The good:
  • The color is gorgeous. Sometimes I catch myself just staring at my nails
  • Price isn't too bad, but if you can find it on sale...even better!
  • Awesome scent. If ever you're bored...take a sniff? lol :P

The not so good:
  • Brush isn't very good, thus leading to uneven polish application

Would I recommend it to a friend?: Sure! Not my favorite, but it's a fun try. Don't look too close to your nails...perfectionists would be terrified. heh..

OVERALL RATING: Would've given it a 7, but the scent brings it to a 8/10.

THANKS FOR READING. <3>
Until next time, じゃね〜!!✿❀
