LIFE AS I KNOW IT

Feature: Pray for Japan

My heart, mind, and soul goes out to the victims of the tsunami, earthquake, and now the nuclear power plant melt down. It's so tragic seeing the pictures, watching the news reports, but for me...feeling this strong sense of helplessness since I'm here, and Japan's over there. I personally have not met my family in Japan, but I do pray for their safety as well as everyone else's. This type of global tragedy really hits close to home. I am half Japanese and I have visited Japan back in the summer of '09, and now hearing and seeing the various places and cities being affected by this natural disaster brings me to the brink of tears. I love Japan. The culture, the people, and my whole experience there could all be summoned up in one word: unforgettable.

But, trying to overcome my own feeling of helplessness, I've found ways to donate to the victims while also keeping them in my prayers. Every little thing counts. If you too would like to donate and help Japan:
