Shimmy shimmy coco pop! Ok, so I don't actually want to show you guys my "shimmys", but instead, a lovely shimmery shimmery blush that my dear friend Vicky offered to send to be a couple months back.
Only recently did I start to really look at how lovely this blush is. And look at that "sleek" packaging! (Yes, pun intended.) Upon first opening (which was a bit of a challenge; these little things are snapped tight!), I was super excited to test this little one out. It is said to be a dupe for the NARS blush in "Orgasm." Let's see then, shall we?
Sleek Blush in Rose Gold: It comes with a nice mirror as well.
NARS Blush in "Orgasm" from the Danmari palette.
L: Rose Gold // R: Orgasm
Rose Gold definitely wins at pigmentation, hands down! With one swatch, I was left with a great amount of peachy pink color with dense gold flecks. As for the Orgasm, it took me at least 3-4 times to build up a close pigmentation to what Rose Gold had given me. Orgasm also has more "glitter' flecks in comparison to create that "sheen." Orgasm is also more on the lighter pink leaning into lavendar side, whereas Rose Gold is more on the salmon pink leaning into the peach side. Though very similar, their differences make them that much more unique.
Sleek is only available in the UK, but the Sleek website also ships internationally. I'd definitely recommend all of you to try this blush out. And even if you have NARS Orgasm, you may want to try this one as well.
Loving these purple-y colors for the fall. Actually used a bit of the matte purple from my "I Heart Matte" WnW palette as well as the duochrome shadow in my WnW "Comfort Zone" palette (which I'm totally L.O.V.E.ing!!) Ooh, and no lip color. Just finished it off with my favorite: Vaseline.

Just got back from Shecky's Girl's Night Out. It was...eh. Missable I guess you could say. Oh well. I think I will be sticking to iMATS, Beautylish, and any others of the like. Got a gift bag filled with a bunch of randoms. Nothing too exciting though. BOO. Will show you guys soon with a few pictures I took. ^^

ReplyDeleteWoah those are super similar looking! I actually wish Orgasm was slightly less sparkly, so maybe this would work better me... once I use up my massive Orgasm palette haha
ReplyDeleteI adore the sleek blush! it was hard to get hold of at one time but I snapped up the last one and I love it! sleek are a brilliant brand xoxo

AHHHHHHHHH!! I dont have that sleek blush. Its NEVER in stock in the drugstore in my city and I ordered it online and it never came either! I think I am just destined to never be able to get it :( Kinda sucky!
ReplyDelete! Ah well, at least i have the danmari now *strokes danmari palette in creepy way* eeheehee...
Yesssss purple is definitely a great colour for this season! It looks purty on you too! A matte purple eh? Actually I dont think I have one. LOL
Awww sorry to hear the event wasn't as great as you had hoped :(. You guys are still soo lucky to have so many cool events that you can go to. Idont really know of any/many here!
Eek, what a pretty blush! It looks lovely on you! T___T The rosey goldy bits really stand out in the pictures, and love how it's such a good dupe for Orgasm - just goes to show, eh? That said, imo the Rose Gold is a much prettier, warmer shade :)
ReplyDeletePretty eye makeup too!
the color of the blush is really rosey, looks great on you!
ReplyDeletepretty! I love the packaging too!
ReplyDeleteI think it just might be nicer too. :D Senkuu!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? Both colors are very natural and flattering to all skin tones. And yes, Rose Gold has no sparkles. ^^ OOh massive Orgasm palettes sounds massive. lol.
ReplyDeleteSo I've heard since posting this entry! I totally understand why..such a pretty blush!! :D And I agree. I love Sleek!!
ReplyDeleteLol. I had to tweet VIcky about it...asking if there was some special way to open it. Guess we're just used to cheap drugstore packaging. Good to know that our blushes will be nice and secure! Thank you, Kat! :]
ReplyDeleteI totally recommend it!!! ;D And yes, definitely can't beat that price!
ReplyDeleteAwww really?? =[ Hehe. Yes! Danmari Orgasm is just as good. lol.
ReplyDeletePurple gives a slightly more bright and colored look and is a good change from neutrals (though I love neutrals..XD). The matte purple I used actually applied as a dark, plum shade. I liked it. The duo chrome shade really made the purple stand out. ^^
Yeah. Kind of expected it, but then when going...it was eh. Aw. Come and visit the states so we can go to some. ^^
THANK YOU!!! Yes. Love the gold flecks in this one. Definitely a warmer shade compared to Orgasm while cooler in comparison.
ReplyDeleteAw. thank you again!! :]
Thank youu! I'm starting to like it a lot more. :]
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Yes. Sleek black packaging. :] Love it.
ReplyDeleteI have this blush too! and it definitely trumps Orgasm in terms of pigmentation! I love its golden sheen <3
ReplyDeleteI have a mark. Good Glowing blush in my stash that is supposed to be a dupe for Orgasm but I forgot the name and I always forget to use it LOL!
ReplyDeleteSOO gorgeous! I love this blush! I need to have it too!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you like it and also glad it's better than that expensive Orgasm one hehe! It's one of my favourite blushes :)
ReplyDeleteI've spotted like one on display at two locations, they are so hard to find in stores! But I'm trying my best to grab more to gift to overseas buddies :D
<3
YAY!! Gold sheen for the win! :D So pretty~
ReplyDeleteOooh~ have you blogged about it before? If not, would love to see a post on it. ^^ (Once you find it of course~ heh)
ReplyDeleteGet it!! It's really pretty!! :]
ReplyDeleteI love it, Vicky. It kicks Orgasm way out of the park! I actually used it on my mom today before she went to her work's luncheon. It's lovely for all skin tones~ ahh.
ReplyDeleteI can see why this blush was and still is a hot item! Can't thank you enough for sending it to me! <3 Right back atcha!!!!!! I'm getting pro at sending these int'packages, don't ya know. ;]

Oh, I never heard of Sleek, such a pretty color and similar to Nars Orgasm!
ReplyDeleteRed Soles and Red Wine
Sleek is a great UK based make-up brand. If you get a chance, you should def. try their products. ^^
ReplyDeleteIt's a really nice shade indeed :3 Since I'm pale , I think it`ll be super great ;D
ReplyDeleteLooks great, especially when used with a lighter hand!
ReplyDeleteThat's such a sweet colour. The two colours look almost identical!
ReplyDeleteAwww just left a comment in your previous post before I read this. Too bad the event was just so-so. Still, can't wait to see the pictures :D
That is crazy! Sleek blushes must have amazing pigmentation~
ReplyDeleteEven though it's very pigmented, it shows up ever so slightly~ even on pale skin. ^^
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! :]
ReplyDeleteIKR!
ReplyDeleteAww~ will post sooon~ waiting for a picture that they took for us at the event. But if that doesn't come soon...will just post and add it in later or something. ^^
I'm curious on how their older blushes are...but I would assume so. ^^
ReplyDeleteit looks very pretty on you dear! :) thanks for the review. i haven't tried sleek blushes yet. ^-^
