(It's been raining these past two days, so I decided to change up the backdrop to my photos for this post since a rainy window brings me peace of mind (and plus it was one of the few places for natural lighting. ^^)
Monthly beauty subscription services such as Birchbox, Glossy Box (UK), Luxe Box (CA), and any of the like give one the opportunity to try out new products from both familiar and unfamiliar brands of products that one may or may not have tried in the past. Since I am located in the US, Birchbox woud be my main option if ever I wanted to try one of the monthly subscriptions out. But, to be honest, when looking at others' boxes each month, for me, it was always a draw up of what products I liked/didn't like.
So, when I heard about a new subscription service called MyGlam (currently only for US residents), I was curious as to what this monthly subscription would offer in comparison. Michelle Phan is the founder of MyGlam, and has teamed up with 4 other youtube beauty gurus in bringing together a new type of beauty community where subscribers would be able to interact with the 5 ladies, sharing make-up tips and tricks using the products received that month. Upon first signing up, like other subscriptions, you do take a "style" quiz that will allow them to put together a bag that best suites your personal taste. And what makes MyGlam different from other subscriptions is that you know what you will be sent each month. Though there isn't that "surprise" factor, I do like knowing what I'm getting for my $10.
I'm sure they knew MyGlam was going to be successful, but I'm not sure they knew how crazy the subscriptions were going to get. Within just a few days, the December bags were all sold out. And then, soon after that, the January bags followed. Now, registrations have been closed for the time being. They are just starting out, so hopefully they'll be able to provide more MyGlam bags because so many people still want to subscribe.
Overall thoughts: I'm very happy with this month's MyGlam bag! Definitely good quality stuff. Since they are just starting out, I will be looking forward to what's in store for MyGlam next!
If interested, you guys can "like" their Facebook page or follow their twitter. I'll also update here if I come across that registrations open up again because you won't wanna miss out!

For $10 a month, subscribers receive around 5 products (some being full sized products, and some being sample sizes) all encased in a cute MyGlam bag.
Shiny pink bubble wrap envelope. Pretty cute, right? The seal wasn't very tight though. I hope they fix this for future MyGlam bags.
Message from Michelle Phan. A card from NYX and Urban Decay was also included.
Mini sample of Tarte's "Lights, Camera, Lashes" - "clinically-proven natural mascara; increases lash volume by 424%"
Full size of NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in "Addis Ababa".
Simple brush applicator.
I'm a little intimidated by this color. :3 But...will try to make a look with it! My lips aren't in the right condition for a matte lippie at the moment though. Hopefully soon...
Mini UDPP. I think I'm set on this stuff for quite a while. Still on my first bottle!
Full size of UD's E/S in "SIN". Though I have this color in the NAKED palette, I didn't mind this at all since it retails for $17 alone! The eyeshadow already makes this bag worth it!
Blotting papers with salicylic acid from Mai Couture. Hmm...while give this a try. I tried a facial wash with Salicylic Acid once before and I thought it broke me out so I stopped using it. Will see with these.
There's quite a few sheets in here though! Love the blue color.
Sample of the "blush paper" where you just apply it straight from the paper. Interesting product. Will see how this one works as well.
