HELLO!! I know it's been awhile again since my last post but I haven't had enough time in a day to post something...but I'm back! Hopefully during this week I'll be able to post more often since I'm FINALLY DONE with my history class. :D Now I can wake up a few hours later (YES!) and will only have to deal with managing one Japanese class. Yayy~
Been pretty busy with hanging out with friends as well as my mom (been spending a lot of time with here ^^). Yesterday, we both attended my her childhood friends' eldest son's wedding banquet. It was a lot of fun since I got to see everyone whom I kind of grew up with after I don't know how many years so it was nice catching up here and there. They're a really fun family too. ^^ It was the traditional 9 course meal and I was definitely stuffed!
FOTD: MUFE HD foundation in 118 (sample from Sephora; I like it a lot!), UD NAKED PALETTE, Physician's Formula Eye Booster Liquid Liner and Happy Booster blush in "Natural", Smashbox limitless liner in "14K", Lioele auto eyebrow pencil, Fairy Drops mascara base/primer, CG Lash Exact, WnW Mega Last lippie in "Rose Bud" 904B, and MAC lipliner in "Creme 'o Spice."
I also followed Suzie's hair tutorial on this braided updo. I like how it turned out. :D I got a lot of compliments at the banquet as well. It's a simple hairstyle that looks a lot more complicated than it really is (which I love!)
I didn't do that great of a job hiding the little rubber bands, but no one really saw the top of my head and...my hair is darker so it's not as noticeable.
On to the outfit~
LOVE these studded gray heels. I like how they're so edgy and how they can be worn casually as well. I had a field day trying to pick out these shoes since my dress was....
CHEETAH PRINT. :D
Picked this dress up from a local Korean clothing store. It's very comfortable on and it also can be dressed up or dressed down. I tried this dress paired with a cropped jean jacket and loved it! The cheetah print is actually printed on lace, which adds a softer, more feminine touch to the dress. (And I think the shoes really compliment the dress as well!) I also used my mom's old, patent leather octagonal clutch.
Cheetah print dress, DSW Gray/black studded heels, black patent leather clutch from my mom, faux pearl studs, silver beaded bracelet
Banquet pictures~
Everything was decked out in RED for good luck. Our table was 1959, and the song represents their favorite song of that year.
They had a local youth group come and performe with lion dancers and it was pretty awesome! I've never seen it performed so close before~ great entertainment to start off the night! There was also a part when they stood on top of each other's shoulders, reaching the top of the ceiling. Everyone was amazed~
Ending the "opening act" with the cute bride and groom. :] These two have been together since high school!
My mom and I. ♥ (I got the comment "OMG, you look...12!") Do I really? lol
Overall it's been a great weekend. Oh yeah~ and everything my job is straightened out so within the next week or two, I'll be getting paid for those two months. Yay!
Hope all of you guys had a great weekend! On to jump starting the week! LEZZ GOO~~!

ReplyDeleteLoved everything about this look! In your FOTD you were wearing more makeup than I've seen and it looked absolutely gorgeous. Awesome job on your hairstyle too. ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU, KAT. <3 :D
ReplyDeleteAgreed! And I alway say, whatever can be found in a small Korean/Asian clothing store most likely won't be replicated/duplicated on someone else. :D
